Hello, I’m Samar. I am a resident artist here at Ink du Soleil in Maple Ridge, and I bring over 16 years of experience and passion to the craft of tattooing. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to mastering a wide spectrum of styles, specializing in black-and-grey realism, neo-traditional, and the timeless flow of Japanese art. I also take great pride in the technical challenge of cover-ups and the delicate precision required for fine-line work.

My artistic vision is deeply rooted in the world around me. I draw constant inspiration from the organic beauty of nature, the epic narratives of classic mythology, and the structured elegance of Japanese woodblock prints. My aesthetic is defined by a balance of opposites: I utilize bold lines and high-contrast shading to ensure longevity, while incorporating intricate micro-details that give each piece a sense of depth and life.

For me, tattooing is a deeply personal and collaborative process. I don’t just want to give you a tattoo; I want to work closely with you to design custom, wearable art that tells your unique story. I believe every piece should be as individual as the person wearing it.

When I’m not in the studio with a machine in my hand, I’m usually still finding ways to create. You can often find me traveling to gain new perspectives, experimenting with watercolors, or sketching away in a local cafe. On my days off, I’m likely out on the open road on my motorcycle, clearing my head and looking for my next spark of inspiration. I look forward to meeting you and bringing your vision to life.
